An independent certification body for practical AI work

What we do

Certalyx is an independent certification body for practical AI work. We write short courses on the tasks that actually appear in AI data queues — bounding boxes, entity tagging, transcription, prompt design, preference ranking, hallucination review — and we assess people on them.

We are not a university and we are not a bootcamp. There are no live classes, no cohort start dates and no instructor to impress. You read, you are assessed, and if you pass you can buy a certificate. That is the entire product.

Why we started

AI data work is one of the few technical fields you can enter without a degree, and one of the few where the interview is often an unpaid test you never get feedback on. Talented people fail those tests for reasons nobody explains, and then have nothing to show the next platform.

A scored assessment with a published syllabus fixes half of that. It puts a defined, checkable claim in front of a reviewer: this person read this material and answered these questions correctly.

How assessment works

Every course ends in ten questions drawn from that course's own material, with the options shuffled per attempt. The pass mark is 80%. Marking happens on our servers against a fixed key, so the answer key never reaches the browser.

Reading is tracked per module and each module must be completed before the next opens, because an assessment of material you skipped measures nothing. Retakes are unlimited and free — we would rather you learn the material than fail once and leave.

What a certificate means

It means a named person completed a defined syllabus and passed a scored assessment. Nothing more. It is not a licence, a degree or a guarantee of employment, and it says nothing about anything outside the syllabus it names.

We do not claim accreditation we do not hold, and we do not claim that any platform recognises our certificates. Where a named organisation formally recognises a Certalyx credential, we will publish the name and the date, and not before.

Who we are not for

If you want a qualification that stands in for a professional licence, this is the wrong place. If you want an assessment you can point at when a vendor asks whether you can do the work, it is the right one.
